Finally a Place Where I Never Have to Say I’m Sorry

We Rock the Spectrum (WRTS) is a sensory gym that caters to children of all abilities. The first WRTS was founded in the US in 2010, with the aim of creating the best sensory gym for autism; one that fosters learning, exploration and safe sensory experiences. The motivation behind the founding of WRTS was simple yet profoundly inspirational – founded on inclusion and the idea that no parent should have to apologise for differences that are out of their control.

For many autism parents and parents of children with special needs, there’s no need to explain further. They instantly feel a sense of relief knowing that there is someone else — someplace else — that understands.– CEO & Founder, Dina Kimmel

The First International Location of The We Rock the Spectrum Franchise

With over more than 60 locations in the US alone, WRTS opened its first international franchise at Evolve Concept Mall in Ara Damansara in 2016. Having a place that was safe for children with autism and special needs was necessary. Recognising this, co-owners of Malaysia’s We Rock the Spectrum, Rahmah Mahmood, Nori Abdullah, and Hana Jamaluddin, having visited the WRTS gym in Los Angeles themselves in 2015, decided to bring this amazing franchise to Malaysia. Apart from providing affordable safe spaces for children, We Rock the Spectrum – Ara Damansara also hopes to raise awareness of autism among Malaysian parents, and Malaysians as a whole.

Inclusive Philosophy, Embracing Diversity

We Rock the Spectrum Kid’s Gym takes their fundamental beliefs seriously, striving to live them every day. WRTS offers an inclusive philosophy; believing that by allowing children of all ability levels to play together, they are able to learn a great deal from one another.

At We Rock the Spectrum Kid’s Gym, we believe in inclusivity. We care for everyone. We are the gym for ALL kids offering an inclusive philosophy via a welcoming environment. We embrace diversity and believe in supporting families – Nori Abdullah

Ten Specialised Pieces of Sensory Equipment

What makes We Rock The Spectrum Kids Gym unique is its ten pieces of sensory equipment. These ten pieces of specialised play equipment are designed and manufactured for WRTS, with the developmental needs of children with sensory processing disorders in mind.

Zip Line

The zip line is a great way to build strength and muscle endurance, enhancing a child’s ability to integrate and tolerate movement while they challenge themselves to hold on long enough to make it to the other end.

Zip Box with Slide

The zip box works like a stepping stool that children can climb in order to use the zip line.

Crash Pit

The crash pit is fun and inviting! It’s a perfect landing spot for the end of the zip line, or for kids who are practicing their highest jumps.

Trampoline

The place for building lower body strength, the trampoline helps teach balance.

Tunnel

The tunnel is a non-threatening cozy hideout for a child in need of a break.

Carpet Swing

The carpet swing is fun and stimulating for swinging, spinning, or gliding side-to-side.

Hammock Swing

The hammock swing is a small, cozy, yet sturdy swing that’s great for self-calming.

Climbing Structure

The climbing structure promotes full-body awareness, motor planning, and bilateral coordination.

Bolster Swing

The bolster swing is most often straddled like a horse.

Swivel Rotators & Carabiners with Webbing Rotators

Rotators’ ability to move in any direction make swinging extra fun and challenging.
