The Pedagogy of Progressive Education
Established in 2007, DR Z Progressive Centre is made up of Taska DR. Z and Tadika Progresif Premier to cater for working parents looking for a quality childcare centre with early childhood education for their children aged 2 months to 6 years. The centres are now in joint consultation with University Of Malaya, Segi University & Colleges and Kolej Perkembangan Awal Kanak-Kanak.

In the brick bungalow surrounded by a windbreak of fruit trees, silhouetted against a backdrop of blue skies, green vistas and modern-looking residential buildings in Damansara Perdana, Taska DR. Z and Tadika Progresif Premier follow the Pestalozzi educational philosophy – learning by head, hand and heart is the pedagogy of progressive education.

Taska DR. Z is a childcare centre offering the national PERMATA curriculum for infants and toddlers between the ages of 2 months to 36 months. Tadika Progresif Premier often referred to as “a garden preschool,” is an early childhood learning provider offering National Pre-School Curriculum Standard (KSPK) for children between the ages of 4 to 6 years old.

Areas Of Learning & Methods of Teaching

Features & Facilities
A garden helps develop better motto fitness and coordination, greater mental acuity, inventiveness and sustained intellectual development – Richard Louv, author of Last Child In The Woods

Taska DR. Z & Tadika Progresif Premier are a big believer that children should spend a lot of time outdoors and in nature. Having a private garden on the school premises has its perks. Gardening in the schoolyard is one of the many ways, the founder believes, one could do to help reconnect today’s children with the natural world. One, because gardening provides hands-on connections to science, nutrition, math and a variety of other subjects. Two, because being in nature fosters creativity. The centres take the standards of cleanliness, sanitation, comfort as well as the safety of the children very seriously. Both centres are kept under constant CCTV surveillance. Classrooms are air-conditioned and thoughtfully designed to provide better interaction between the students and the teachers. Other facilities include Alkaline water filters, convenient parking, and big designated spaces for dropping off and picking up children from the centres.
