Our Children, Our Future…….is the rallying call that Mr. Joey Lee, the principal of Tadika Vista Cemerlang in Bandar Kinrara aspires to. A noble call indeed. But few people who aspire to such a lofty ideal ever reach it. However, in Mr. Lee and Vista Cemerlang we have before us the exception to the norm.
As today’s parents become more educated and affluent, the pressure to work harder and longer hours is weighing more heavily on them than ever before. The accumulation of material wealth and status has become almost a priority. And sadly, spending quality time with their children and family is a luxury that most can afford only sparingly.

Having served the community in and around Kinrara and Bandar Puteri for almost 11 years, Mr. Lee has seen almost half a generation grow up.
Today’s young parents are excellent providers for their homes and families. However, most of them lack the skills necessary to nurture and develop their children observes Mr. Lee
“Many children today are very attached to gadgets and technology, are not able to speak or write clearly and have short attention spans when they first meet us. Without guidance and attention from an early age, this will hinder their overall developmental progress, and in many instances, this eventually leads to a drop in their self-confidence as they grow older,” adds Mr. Lee.
Through the years, Vista Cemerlang’s unwavering passion and concern for their students’ future has seen them exploring and investing in new approaches that will continue to allow them to innovate, to improve and to grow.

With a curriculum that adheres to the National Preschool Curriculum (NPC), Vista Cemerlang prepares the children for entry into primary school whereby they will be able to study and focus independently as well as intermingle with their peers, friends and teachers. This strong foundation will also help shape their personality and their ability to perform. Through the years, Vista Cemerlang has integrated their very own approach and methods into the NPC and trained their teachers to disseminate their very own brand of teaching, the Vista Cemerlang way! The Vista Cemerlang way entails engagement via play (both structured play and unstructured play), feel and touch and academics through fun activities such as cooking and baking, song and dance, show and tell and storytime sessions. Vista Cemerlang have also come up with their own workbooks and worksheets to complement the teaching of the various subjects.
With playtime being a crucial component of today’s preschool education, Vista Cemerlang has a dedicated indoor all-weather play area separated from the rest of the school by floor to ceiling child-safe glass. And if the weather gets too hot, there is even air-conditioning for the comfort of the children.

Having all the ingredients to provide a child as holistic a preschool education as anyone could wish for and more is apparently not enough. To further enhance the children’s preschool experience, Vista Cemerlang also offers in the form of enrichment classes, activities such as mental mathematics, art and craft, robotics, taekwondo, Mortimer English Club and Baby Sensory.

In a society where academic achievement and excellence is a sought after priority, Vista Cemerlang’s unique curriculum stresses on giving the future back to the children, “Our Children, Our Future”. With a solid foundation built during their childhood and growing up years, in letting the children lead the way they will not be shackled within a future dictated by adults. As the present generation moves on, both we and our children will reap the benefits of a kinder, gentler, more tolerant and more progressive tomorrow.
