Tadika Little Footprints, Ara Damansara is a fun, happy and vibrant learning environment where children aged 3 to 6 years are able to discover and explore through robust educational experiences. Founded in 2009, the kindergarten continues to form strong ties with the families within the community. Core values remain to nurture children into capable, competent learners, while empowering teachers to “train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it”.

The bright, spacious facility spreads over three shop units and is carefully designed to facilitate diverse opportunities for children’s growth. Spaces are open and arranged to accommodate movement of children among equipment and materials. The layout invites children to explore and discover.

Safety

The school places a premium on the safety of children, staff and families. Children are escorted to and from their cars by staff, providing convenient drop-offs and pick-ups for parents and safe transportation during school outings. A security guard is stationed at the entrance to ensure the safety of the children. Learning spaces and materials are routinely treated with advanced nano titanium dioxide coating sprays to effectively eliminate virus, bacteria and fungus. In the same vein, the school adheres to standard safety rules and regulations with the installation of CCTV cameras, detailed emergency and first aid procedures, and air purifiers and ionizers.

Innovative, Proven FunGates System

At Tadika Little Footprints, teachers understand the pivotal role that early childhood education plays in laying the foundations for a lifelong love of learning, and intellectual, social and character formation. The atmosphere is supportive and progressive, with the proven FunGates education system forming a basis for the curriculum. Programmes are developmentally appropriate for each age group and built on the tenets of educating the whole child. The curriculum advocates for the integration of 21st century skills – communication, collaboration, critical thinking, creativity, social-emotional development, and technology literacy – in the early learning experiences of its students.

A Breadth of Experiences to Ignite Interest and Ensure Engagement

A day at kindy involves collaborative efforts from children, families and teachers for effective programming. Children are welcomed into a supportive environment led by nurturing and qualified teachers. The schedule is structured with learning sessions to develop early numeracy and literacy, science concepts, and art and craft. Experiences incorporates plentiful sensory, cognitive, dramatic and manipulative play learning, alongside opportunities to cultivate presentation and performance skills. Activities are fun and interactive, and helps young children grow in confidence, build a positive character, develop essential life skills and establish friendships. The programmes involve teaching through engaging topics that allow the integration of meaningful learning in all content areas through project-based experiences, with time set aside for SMART Board, computer and iPad-based activities. On occasion, children are exposed to topic-related insights from guest speakers. Fridays are set aside for Power Fun Time activities that include storytelling, games, physical activities and more. Children also take regular visits to educational venues outside of school. Breaks for home-cooked, balanced and nutritious meals ensure children stay full of energy and nourished for the day’s learning. Teachers keep parents connected with their child’s learning progress with timely parent-teacher meetings, comprehensive observation reports and face-to-face updates.

Open Plan Classrooms

Distinctive to the FunGates system, children learn in open plan classrooms that are each fitted with a SMART Board. These large, open-space collaborative learning areas heighten children’s attentiveness and multitasking levels, training them to be a true 21st century learner. Children remain notably focused on their respective tasks despite our moving presence during the school visit.

Extracurricular and Enrichment Activities

The school operates throughout the day with additional engaging support programmes such as art and craft, speech and drama, simple cooking and baking, character building activities, and homework guidance. There are scheduled after-school enrichment programmes delivering specialist instruction in mandarin for non-native speakers, rhythmic gymnastics, ballet, and music and movement classes.

Little Footprints, Giant Steps

Through exploration and routine, Tadika Little Footprints nurtures children to develop skills and attitudes that will last a lifetime, making every moment count. By bringing your child to Tadika Little Footprints, you are joining a community of shared expectations, one that wants the best for its children, leads them seamlessly into big school and sets them up for a bright future.

Being engaged with the FunGates education system allows the school to reach out to far more people who are in need of education, safe spaces and resources through the FunGates Superflow Foundation. A percentage of monthly school fees are contributed to the foundation that benefits children and adults with special needs, patients with kidney failure, and other underprivileged and needy citizens of the society.
