Special needs education is a complex and demanding sector. Education specialists face the challenge of juggling multiple disabilities through individualized teaching practices with largely unrecognized support, while parents are overwhelmed by the therapies necessary for the care of the child multiplied by the worries about their acceptance in the world. The set of physical, emotional and behavioural stressors is shattering enough and when combined, it is almost impossible to cope. If you are a parent, caregiver, educator or associated professional who have a need or an interest in increasing your skills and knowledge in special needs, the CAE Malaysia (Pusat Latihan Asia Pasifik Sdn Bhd) can help.

CAE Malaysia is an educational institution designated to promote inclusion, good practice and solutions that can prepare carers and educators for the challenge of facilitating learning to individuals with special needs. Education is designed to provide additional support to learners with disadvantages in physical, intellectual, behavioural, social and emotional capacities including, but are not limited to, dyslexia, ADD/ADHD, autism and dyspraxia. The CAE Malaysia has instituted a range of high quality, practitioner-led programmes to provide the tools, knowledge, adaptive pedagogical methods and required proficiency that can help maximize optimum potential in special needs. The programmes interweave theoretical knowledge with a practical focus; they empower those associated with teaching or caring with a deeper understanding of the cognitive, affective and behavioural components of special education, and the challenges encountered in professional practice. Expansive services include training courses devoted to instil professional expertise in counselling, psychology, and allied health and science.
