Puei Chee Kindergarten has a rich, proud history of providing early childhood education. The kindergarten was established in 1961 and has always been committed to providing quality early childhood education.
Since its inception, approximately 10,000 students have graduated from Puei Chee Kindergarten, with some families even having attended across multiple generations.
Situated at the heart of Seksyen 17, Petaling Jaya, the kindergarten was formerly located in an old building before shifting to modern yet charming premises. The updated space has been carefully designed to provide a comfortable and conducive learning environment for children, with bright and airy environments that parents will appreciate.
Puei Chee Kindergarten has always been driven by the belief that early childhood education plays an important role in cultivating positive attitude and interest towards learning, not only academically but also in general cognitive development and social & emotional development.

Educational Programmes
The medium of instruction at Puei Chee Kindergarten is Bahasa, English and Chinese. Staffed by a team of dedicated teachers, the kindergarten provides a solid learning ground for students in all areas of the curriculum. Here, the emphasis is equally placed on academic achievement, problem-solving skills and character building.
Teachers devote their best to fostering school routine in children as they learn to focus, interact and make new friends. To further enrich the children’s preschool experiences, Puei Chee Kindergarten organises events and field trips such as school carnival and excursions to the farms, zoo, factories and workshop, among others.
Our teaching methods and syllabus evolve with the needs of our young children today, while keeping aligned with the requirements from the Ministry of Education for early childhood education. A Caring And Nurturing Environment
Puei Chee Kindergarten’s spaces have been thoughtfully designed to be safe and delightful for learning. Its classrooms are bright, well-ventilated and spacious. Meticulously selected learning equipment and materials are easily accessible to the children; to stimulate interest in exploration and active participation by each child.
The setting of the classrooms differs in the different age groups. For younger children aged four, such settings are designed to encourage socializing and playing amongst the children. Through this, children play and learn while developing fundamental skills, such as sensory, fine motor, simple problem solving and socializing skills.
For older children aged five and six, classrooms are more structured to enable the teachers and children to teach and learn in a formal classroom environment. This provides a natural progression to prepare the children for their transition from kindergarten to primary school. Puei Chee Kindergarten aims and aspire to continue providing quality early childhood education to children.
