MusicTime has been helping students discover their own unique connection to music and instilling a love of music for a stable six years. The facility is well-connected via a large network of highways and housed in the top floor of a three-storey shop. Teaching studios are fully equipped with pianos, keyboards, amps, microphones and early music exploration equipment.

The centre was founded by Ee Lin Hin, a certified musician and early childhood educator, on the belief that music is an essential part of a well-rounded life. It facilitates fun and engaging learning experiences that nurture creativity, imagination, self-expression and confidence. It endeavours to create a positive learning environment that enables students, 1 year to adults, to flourish and succeed with the programmes listed below. Programmes are offered as a one-on-one lesson as well as in a small group setting. Students have the option of learning for leisure or towards the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) examinations.
Music Lessons for All Ages
-
Little MusicTime (1 to 4 years)
The Little MusicTime Programme was instituted by the founder to introduce little ones to the developmental benefits of music through playing, singing and movement. These weekly classes feature interactive songs, rhymes, creative movement, dramatic play, percussion instruments and more. Such early exposure to music benefits children’s development in all areas from intellectual and expressive language skills to social-emotional and cognitive development. A parent or caregiver is required to accompany children to class.

-
Piano Lessons (4 years to adults)
Piano lessons are age-appropriate and carefully paced to the abilities of each age group. For young beginners, an encouraging first experience is geared towards preliminary musical elements, rhythm activities and musical games before moving on to an instrument. The structure for music learning intensifies with incremental introductions to melodic and rhythmic dictation, chord identification, and dynamics. Lessons integrate melodic concepts, keyboard, solfege, rhythm, ear training, sight reading, music theory, studies and compositions by a variety of composers, and games.

The exploration of music through piano lessons will help students with creativity, discipline, independence, self-esteem and confidence. Every aspect of the programme is designed to ensure that students remain focused, engaged and happy.

-
Vocal and Singing Lessons
Regardless of age and music preferences, students can learn any genre that takes their fancy. Young singers and aspiring vocalists will be taught the fundamentals of singing including breathing, posture and diction. Students will be guided through the stages of vocal progression, pitch training and keeping a steady tempo. Lessons can also help prepare for singing competitions and auditions.

Holiday Programmes
There is something for everyone throughout the whole year. Children are encouraged to be musically creative and active during school breaks with special holiday programme offerings. These programmes go beyond technical music instruction. Children get to discover the refreshing experience of singing, swaying and twirling together in musicals, while developing their talents together with fellow friends through an array of other music-related activities.

Performance Opportunities
Students are exposed to multiple performance opportunities at in-house presentations, and yearly recitals and concerts. In-house presentations occur at the centre, easing students into performing in a familiar environment. Yearly recitals and concerts give students a taste of the thrill to showcase their talents in a professional performance. Every student is given a chance to grow with confidence and shine with grace.
