Established in 2016, Leo International School began with a vision – to inspire others to excel beyond one’s expectations. The school offers a robust international curriculum based on the highly valued National Curriculum of England for students aged between 4 – 17 years old. Focusing on every child as an individual character, it has been the aim of Leo International to provide holistic learning experiences; from early years to secondary at an affordable price.

Cambridge Qualification
Cambridge International Examination is the world’s largest provider of international education programmes. Leo International School is part of the Cambridge learning community, along with one of the 9000 other schools around the world. Its qualifications are therefore widely recognised by universities and employers. Cambridge students can be confident that their qualifications will be understood and valued throughout their education and career, in their home country and internationally.
Educational Programmes
Leo International School follows an International Curriculum based on the highly valued National Curriculum of England that culminates in IGCSE examinations and qualifications. There’s a wide range of subjects to choose from and the principal ensures that the curriculum suits one’s context, cultural and ethos. Local cultural values as well as languages; Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin are therefore emphasized.
The goal is to ensure that students can stay global yet local. The curriculum at Leo International is divided into 4 key stages; at all stages, students are challenged to reflect, question, and hypothesise to ensure that they can construct their understandings. Extracurricular activities, school events as well as educational trips serve to further enrich their learning experiences in their areas of passion and aptitudes.
1) Early Years (4 – 5 years)
Our Early Years programme is based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework for England, which is also enhanced with language training in Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin.
2) Primary (5 – 11 years)
In Key Stages 1 and 2, students are introduced to a wide range of subjects and studies where learning is mostly hands-on, exciting and interesting.
3) Cambridge Secondary 1 (11 – 14 years)
The programme follows the National Curriculum for England, enhanced by international themes and languages in Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin. Cambridge Secondary 1 marks the beginning of Secondary education for Years 7 to 11.
4) Cambridge Secondary 2 (14 – 16 years)
A continuation from Cambridge Secondary 1, Cambridge Secondary 2 follows the National Curriculum for England, enhanced by international themes and languages in Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin.
Educators
It doesn’t matter what method of education one’ is using, a good teacher makes all the difference to student learning. Leo International School always seeks to ensure they employ and retain the best staff. Their teaching staff are therefore qualified in their field; one with a teaching qualification and experience. The school also provides professional development for their teachers to help them improve their performance and practice throughout their careers.
Facilities
Situated in the heart of Putra Heights, Subang Jaya, Leo International School operates in a two-storey building. There are dedicated classrooms for different age groups. Each classroom is designed to meet all of the pupil’s needs regardless of varying abilities.
