Located in Kulai, Johor. Kids Inspire Child Development Center is a therapy center for children with disability or delays in their development. KICDC have serve wide range of special needs condition such as Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder(ADHD), Developmental Delay, Developmental Coordination Disorder (Dyspraxia), Specific Learning Difficulties such as Dyslexia and Dyscalculia, Speech Delay, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and other medical or child psychiatric related diagnosis.
We providing more than one program that serve the needs of the children. They are Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Early Intervention Program and Special Needs Education (for learning difficulties). We also at times organizing seminar for parent education and playgroup for kids.
Teaching Method
1. Occupational Therapy
Individual occupational therapy assessment and intervention sessions. Using combined approach such as Sensory Integration (SI), Floor time (DIR), Neurodevelopmental (NDT) and structured play. Help in develop child motor skills, visual attention, sensory processing, and visual perceptual skill, ability to understand and follow instruction, play skills, self-help skill and social skill.
2. Speech Therapy
Individual speech therapy assessment and intervention sessions for kids with speech delay, sound and language difficulties. Using play and parent bond with child to develop child’s speech and language skill.
3. Step-Up Program (Early Intervention Program)
An early intervention program (EIP) for kids age 3 ½ years to 9 years old. This program runs for 2 ½ hour per class and 12 -16 class per month. This program designed specifically to suit the needs of children with different abilities by using techniques such as structured teaching (TEACCH), sensory integration activity, Rhythmic Movement Training, play activity and art and experiments.
This program main goals are to provide kids with special needs opportunity to experience learning in an environment that suit their needs but at the same time need to follow the structured setting. When they are familiar and comfortable with the learning process, the prompt and helps are gradually faded so they can be independent and generalize the skill learnt here to other setting (such as kindergarten, school, outing).
The subjects or topics taught in structured teaching including literacy, numeracy, visual perceptual, fine motor skill, self-help skill and play.
4. Blossom Program (Learning Difficulties and Handwriting Class)
Adaptation from program Handwriting Without Tears, All About Reading and All About Spelling Marie Reppel, using Orthon-Gilingham approach to help kids with specific learning difficulties such as problem in writing, reading, spelling, and calculation. 2 hour program in a group of 4, the activity session done in a multisensory and fun learning.
