“Education Towards a Better Future”
EU Preschool is a place of warmth, joy and enthusiasm; one that pours its energy into developing relationships and delivering high standards of learning. Every classroom, learning corner and gathering space is infused with a big sense of care. The environment is well-prepared and equipped with carefully selected materials that are accessibly placed at children’s eye level. It is informative and inviting at the same time, allowing children to discover and explore educational concepts using their senses.

Integrated Curriculum to Engage and Challenge Children to Be Better
Beneath the warm atmosphere lies a consistent application of strong core values embedded in every aspect of the school, from its academic programme to its student support. Learning is guided by a framework that weaves together the National Standard Preschool Curriculum, early STEAM theories and skills, philosophies of Waldorf and Japanese early education, and Montessori concepts. Teachers strive to unlock the potential in each child by honing their skills in a holistic manner. Most importantly, they teach children “how to think, not what to think”.

The comprehensive curriculum integrates the following areas of development to enhance children’s intellectual, physical, emotional and spiritual abilities to become more productive adults.
- STEAM focuses on the mastery of Science, Technology-based, Engineering, Art and Mathematical knowledge and skills.
- Language, Literacy and Communication enhances verbal and non-verbal interaction. Language development is available in English, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Physical Development strengthens motor skills and builds strong hearts through movement and exercise.
- Humanities and Moral Education experiences translates into a sense of community, environmental stewardship and global awareness.
- Spiritual Attitude and Values shows the appreciation of religious practices, beliefs and values.
Children are met with a structure that immerses them in play, experiential, sensorial and project-based learning approaches. They enjoy a variety of hands-on practical activities in a social setting that will not only instill knowledge and skill but also develop a sense of competence and community. Each day allows ample opportunities for children to absorb the beginnings of language, numbers and science, along with plenty of time to play inside and outside. Sorting, counting, dramatic and puppet plays, and storytelling are some examples of activities in the kindergarten. The whole process is a voyage where all senses are engaged. Children hears a lesson, sees it, moves through it, expresses it, and the knowledge becomes embedded in the child.

Infusing 21st Century Skills for a Strong Foundation
Learning here goes beyond books and subject integration. It is also about fostering 21st century skills and promoting dispositions that support success in a rapidly changing global world. The focus is on inculcating the 7Cs – critical thinking, collaboration, communication, creative innovation, character, confidence and civic consciousness – in early learning experiences.
Whether your child is outspoken and needs a high level of challenge or is reserved and needs additional support, all will thrive at EU Preschool. The level of attention and the effort that teachers make are very high and individualized to the unique needs of every learner. The school’s intimate size means that everyone is seen and known, and guided to grow into independent thinkers who are competent to meet the challenges of tomorrow.
