Smart Talent Kindergarten, Ipoh offers a stimulating environment for children aged 2 to 6 years to learn and grow. Founded 20 years ago by Mdm. Tan Chin Chin, the kindergarten aims to make children’s first step of learning fun yet educational.
“For the past 30 years, I’ve realised that traditional preschool’s teaching methods are too rigid, children are overwhelmed and thus find difficulties in learning,” shares Mdm. Tan, an experienced principal.
“As an educator, it is important to help children build a solid foundation – physical, mental and spiritual – not so fragile that it crumbles under the weight of their future learning. I want to put them on the right track academically and instill a passion of learning that will last throughout their lifetime.”
“Therefore, we’ve developed the Smart Talent 3-in-1 System to cultivate strong and steady learners, preparing them for future success,” says Mdm. Tan.
The Smart Talent 3-in-1 System: Nurturing Healthy Bodies, Minds & Spiritual Development
The Smart Talent 3-in-1 System provides a holistic approach to education, focusing on both academic and non-academic learning areas. It emphasises the importance of promoting the mental, physical and spiritual development of children. Under this system, teachers do not use a one-size-fits-all approach as children learn in different ways at different paces. Thus, teachers customise learning according to each child’s needs and abilities. And they make sure learning plans match up with the National Preschool Curriculum (KSPK).

Learning becomes naturally motivating when children get involved in various fun hands-on experiences that spark their interests. The preschool programme is further enriched with excursions, concerts and holiday programmes. Past excursions have brought children to the equestrian club, biscuit factory, McDonald’s, supermarket and many more other places.
These opportunities allow children to explore independently, practice decision-making, learn to solve problems, strengthen critical thinking skills, as well as improve their well-being and confidence. This is how Smart Talent Kindergarten prepares children for the challenges and crises of the future.
For busy parents, childcare is available the whole day, where children continue to learn under the guidance of capable and caring hands. The schedule includes nutritious lunches and snacks, nap time, and age-appropriate activities like music, art and story time. The meal plans are specially planned by the kindergarten’s in-house nutritionist, making sure that children are nourished with well-balanced nutrients.
