IOP Preschool & Day Care, Ara Damansara has a dedicated team who genuinely cares for the safety and general wellbeing of all children from 18 months onwards. It is their vision to promote learning in a positive, well equipped surrounding. As its tagline suggests, the school has a vested interest in the curriculum, programmes, facilities and people within its community to make it “The Happiest Place to Learn, Play & Grow”. The school has always worked hard to fulfill the mandate to make each child feel welcomed, comfortable and settled in this environment. The team acknowledges that open communication and respectful relationships are vital for the effective operation of the school. As a parent, you can feel safe knowing that your child is receiving the best possible childcare and education that is fun.
The Happiest Place to Learn, Play & Grow
Do you have a child that loves to move? How about one that enjoys music or art? Afraid that they would not sit down for 15 minutes so you can teach them something? No problem! Teachers at IOP Preschool do not make children do printable worksheets which they have to sit and fill out. Instead, they encourage children to learn the way that they were born to learn: through play! Like-minded, caring teachers advocate play-based, student-centred and experiential learning within a holistic environment. The early years learning framework and Pre-K readiness skills that children will explore at IOP Preschool are:-
- Science
- Math
- Motor Skills
- Language Development
- Letter and Word Knowledge
- Reading and Writing Skills
- Social Skills
- Emotional Skills
- Independence Skills / Living Skills

A Children-Focused, Play-Based Curriculum
IOP programmes emphasise play and experiential learning as critical components as children learn best through play. Whether children are learning languages, numeracy or discovering the natural world, they do so through many activities that are play-based and interactive. Learning becomes naturally motivating; there will be enjoyment and full engagement, both mentally and physically.
The curriculum is customised based on appropriate developmental goals for children and their learning needs, providing them with the opportunities to cultivate cognitive, social, emotional, creative, physical and self-help skills. Throughout the day, children get involved in various letter-themed activities, such as storytelling, reading, singing and dramatic play, that spark their interests. A balance between indoor and outdoor experiences that incorporate a wide range of multi-sensory resources make learning academic fundamentals and essential life skills fun for both the children and teachers. Teaching is directed in small group contexts to appeal to the distinct individual learning styles of each child and to ensure that each child will benefit from the undivided attention of the teacher.

After-School Blue Ribbon Enrichment Programme
After the half-day session ends, an after-school Blue Ribbon enrichment programme offers an extended educational experience for the children, making it convenient for working parents. These afternoon hours will be filled with small group activities: robotic workshops, additional English lessons, intensive Mandarin, leadership classes and dancing. The importance of physical wellbeing is supported by a healthy lunch menu with lots of fresh, unprocessed foods that children will enjoy. Additionally, for parents looking to keep their children occupied during school breaks, IOP offers holiday programmes every 3 months. Children are bound to have a blast exploring varied activities – laughter and friendships guaranteed.
Playgroups and Parent Workshops
Apart from the regular programming, IOP Preschool, Ara Damansara also offers additional Storytime Playgroups, Messy Playgroups and Parent Workshops. Storytime Playgroups are parent accompanied sessions that are held every Wednesday; interactive, child-led activities inspire hours of creativity and nurture developmental growth in young children. Messy Playgroups cater for 15 months and above; every Friday, a wide range of materials will be specifically selected to stimulate their senses and introduce them to new colours, shapes and textures. On weekends, parents can attend special workshops that cover the ways that they can get involved their child’s education, which can benefit the entire learning process at home and in school.

Committed to Preparing Children for Their Individual Milestones
IOP Preschool & Day Care, Ara Damansara values each child and drives their interest to understand their world. The school embraces the process of learning, and encourages teachers to be present, listening and growing alongside the children. Opportunities are maximised to expose children to various experiences that can prepare for their individual milestones, from preschool to primary school.
