Little Genius Kindergarten is a brand-new kindergarten dedicated to providing optimal early education to students aged 3 to 6 years. It is located in the convenient, matured area of Pandan Indah, close to shops, local schools and community amenities.
Operations are overseen by the founder, Ms. Jolene, a dedicated individual with eight years of experience in providing tuition services. The kindergarten employs qualified teachers to deliver the programs, each bringing unique talents and contributions to the whole learning process. The warm and caring team works in collaboration with parents to create an inviting atmosphere where everyone can feel a sense of belonging in place.
A Platform for Developing a Strong Foundation
It is set out on the main mission of providing a strong foundation for all aspects of the developing child through a stimulating, safe and caring learning environment. Within which, you will find well-organized classrooms fitted with age-appropriate furnishings, library and play area.
The curriculum is based on the national preschool learning framework. There is a strong focus on quality interaction and education that is designed to help prepare students for primary school. Teachers strive to build student’s skills and abilities using a topic-based approach. Students can practice and consolidate their skills in key learning areas, namely, English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, Mathematics, Science, Moral, and Personal and Health Education.
Supporting Key Areas of Learning
Teachers respect students as individuals, responding in a sensitive way that recognizes each child’s strengths, needs and learning abilities. Small group learning arrangements are incorporated into the curriculum to support students to grow intellectually, socially and emotionally; small group activities make a great opportunity for young children to express their thoughts and needs with peers to accomplish tasks, further develop interpersonal skills, and allow teachers to observe progress more closely. A daily schedule of a combination of play-based approaches, structured academic lessons and active learning provides students with an educational foundation that will serve them best at each stage of their formative lives. With the guidance of teachers, students pick up basic concepts, one skill at a time through songs, storytelling, role-play, reading, writing, phonics, planting and more. A variety of materials and resources are used to deliver instruction, support student learning and increase student success. There is also strong emphasis on nurturing presentation skills at a young age, and most importantly build confidence.
Parents can opt to enroll their children for the full day programme. After-school activities include mealtime, homework guidance, reading, cooking and developmental boosting activities; options will grow to accommodate community demands such as art and craft, and dance. Field trips, concert performances and holiday programs also form a vital part of students’ early learning experiences.
Through ongoing observations and regular assessments, teachers understand what each child knows and can do. Lessons and activities are planned accordingly to help students continue learning. At Little Genius Kindergarten, success is not only gauged by grades but also on how students achieve their full potential in other areas. It is also about developing values of responsibility, and becoming independent learners, effective communicators and creative thinkers.
