Kindyland Tropicana Kindergarten and Daycare

Situated in the largest, award-winning golf club, overlooking a lush green golf course with carefully tended and manicured greens dotted with tall palm trees, is Kindyland Tropicana Kindergarten and Daycare. Founded in 2008, Kindyland Tropicana offers programmes for children aged 3-6 years that integrate the best in academic practices to foster holistic development. English, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia are emphasised here with fun-based teaching concepts to encourage children’s interest in learning. Kindyland boasts its strength in raising well-mannered and all-rounded children to be the leaders of tomorrow.

With such an explorative approach to learning and life in general, children are later encouraged to connect what they’ve experienced and learnt in class to the world around them. Through a series of progressive academic programmes focused in early language, reading, and math skills lessons at Kindyland readily provide the sort of early education that holistically combines child-centred explorations with teacher-directed instruction.

Academic & Co-Curricular Programmes

1) Academic Programmes

Kindyland customises age appropriate programmes for children between 3 to 6 years of age. The following essential subjects and skills are taught:

  • Languages (English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin)
  • Mathematics, Science & Moral
  • Music, Arts & Crafts

2) Co-curricular Programmes

Hands-on enrichment activities at Kindyland are an essential part of its curriculum. These activities aim to enhance children’s social and emotional growth, as well as foster self-understanding, positive peer interaction, initiative, and learning in all children.

To provide an education that integrates both the left and right sides of the brain, Kindyland has recently introduced a Right Brain Training Programme as part of their extended day schedule. This is to help children strengthen their creativity and imagination, instead of just focusing solely on academic achievements. The programme utilizes flashcards to activate the right brain and advances in difficulty according to age. Over time, as a result, children develop improved photographic memory, high speed information processing ability, mental concentration, spatial recognition and visual concentration.

Experienced & Dedicated Teachers

Educators at Kindyland do not only have the experience needed to develop the whole child and bring enthusiasm to the classroom but are also adequately qualified with relevant qualifications. The majority are either diploma holders or higher with a minimum of 8-10 years related teaching experience. An important aspect of teaching is observation. Kindyland maintains smaller class sizes; allowing teachers to observe their students more thoroughly. The student-to-teacher ratio at Kindyland starts at 1:8 at nursery level (3 years) and increases to 1:18 in K2 (6 years) when learning in larger groups helps to foster better social and interactive skills. The ratio ensures that each child gets the attention and support they need to reach their highest potential.

A Home Away From Home

Kindyland strives to provide each child with a secure, loving and responsive environment, ensuring that each child will thrive educationally and emotionally. Perks of being the only kindergarten situated in Malaysia’s largest clubhouse are definitely in abundance. Tropicana Golf offers 24/7 security with a network of CCTV cameras monitoring nearly all sections of the golf club. Not to mention Golf resort-standard amenities such as swimming pool, playground, and cafes.

There’s also a clinic which is just a stone’s throw away from the kindergarten. Consequently, children at Kindyland get to enjoy many of these selected golf club exclusive facilities. No main roads nearby means one is unlikely to experience traffic congestion when picking up/dropping off their child. Kindyland provides nutritionally balanced snacks and lunches to children, which are based on recommendations from the nutritionists. Food served is made from scratch with fresh ingredients daily – no preservatives, no frozen food.

COVID-19: Strict Safety Measures

Amidst all the uncertainties presented by the coronavirus, Kindyland has not taken the task of reopening the school lightly. With immense care and preparation, new key practices (listed below) are introduced by the management to keep the whole community safe and ease parent’s worries about sending their child back to school.

  • Physical Distancing: Learning areas are carefully mapped out to account for social distancing requirements. Critical parts of the day, such as arrivals and dismissals, lunch time, and toilet breaks, are properly planned to minimise crossover contact, while individualised materials are provided.
  • Hygiene and Sanitisation: All school spaces and materials are sanitised periodically throughout the day. The daily maintenance routine includes disinfecting all rooms with a fog machine, cleaning high-contact surfaces, treating materials with a handheld disinfectant sprayer, increased frequency of handwashing, and regular temperature checks.
  • Personal Protective Equipment: To mitigate contagion risks, all staff are equipped with face masks and shields. Face coverings are not compulsory for children but are highly recommended.
  • Transition to E-Learning: Necessary adjustments to online learning are made to ensure continuous student engagement across the curriculum. Lessons are formatted to be interactively stimulating and scheduled according to age groups.
