Real Scholar Academy, Zeva Residence (Seri Kembangan)

Real Scholar Academy (RSA) was founded by Jessie SL Looi and Vivi Lee with the aim of providing a programme that is unequalled. Principally one that provides a balance between the books and children’s life potential. It started with a humble handful of 17 students. Seeing the dedication the learning centre offered, parents soon came pouring in to get their children enrolled. The school has since grown to house close to 100 students under its roof.

Full Facility Learning Centre

Spread across a 12,500 square foot learning area, the campus boasts a library, computer lab, Science laboratory, canteen, full facility classrooms and co-curricular spaces, including access to the swimming pool and badminton court. The facilities of the learning centre allow for a rich educational experience and students are gently required to be involved in all aspects of it.

A Balanced Learning Programme

Every learning centre exists to meet the needs of a specific set of learners, which is something that on the whole differentiates learning from conventional school settings. In that sense, RSA makes a prime example. It is the learning centre for parents who are looking for a wider range of learning areas, namely both academic and social, providing the groundwork for an expanding world view.

RSA will soon grow to include the entire continuum, from early years through to high school. An Early Years Programme will be incorporated into the curriculum to shape, develop and foster a love of learning starting from 4½ years.

Additionally, field trips, team building events and guest speakers raising awareness on varied topics – all find a place within the delivery of the curriculum. These activities allow children to explore other interests, build confidence, gain additional knowledge and nurture teamwork.

Respectful, Equality, Adaptable, Learner

The core programme is underwritten by the values that the principal intended to express, including a sense of respect, equality, flexibility and adaptability, as well as a focus on empathy towards fellow peers and beyond. The approach preps children to be active and engaged learners, both in terms of content as well as critical thinking skills and time management skills. Opportunities are aplenty for children to hone their presentation skills, while strengthening communication skills and building higher confidence levels. Learning is delivered through the finest academic books that are endorsed by Cambridge. Student success is facilitated through collaboration with parents and parents are kept in the know with their children’s progress through phone calls, parent-teacher meetings and weekly updates in a communications book. The commitment to the provision of an optimum experience extends to a wholesome, varied menu for school meals and access control doors for maximum security.

Experienced and Engaging Educators

The faculty comprises experienced educators that are expert in their needs and can provide students with a stimulating and engaging learning environment. Stemming a banking background, the principal has a front row seat to all the ways in which the team can improve and grow through a strong training and developmental learning programme. Tools such as 360-degree feedback on performance from teachers and students are implemented. This contributes to team development to better serve parents and students.
