Formula 9 Teaching Approach and Super Memory Map (SMM)
The strength of the programme promotes links across the curriculum, allowing children to see connections between academic learning, holistic enrichment, educational related services and life skills mastery. All while developing the whole brain and “Learning through play, play through learning”. Educational theories are underscored by Howard Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences. It recognizes that each child learns in a different way, some learn better in a linguistically-based environment while some are more suited to body-kinesthetic based learning. Multiple modes of instruction based on different intelligences are used to help children boost both the creative and logical side of the brain. This in turn allows children to flourish intellectually and emotionally. To complete the whole brain development, children are taught improve long-term memory performance through mental imaging using the Super Memory Map (SMM) method of learning.

A group of internally-trained and caring teachers are found in the school to deliver the knowledge and skills required to move on to primary school and encourage creative engagement across the whole learning spectrum. Real objects are used to bring life in class; the learning process is made more functionable and memorable when children can see, smell and touch the objects.

Talent Development
Learning is complemented with plenty of extracurricular and enrichment activities, helping children explore their passions, interests and talents. Large outdoor play areas allow for a balance between indoor and outdoor activities. The school advocates for play and physical movement as part of the optimal development for young children as it primes their brains for learning and contributes to necessary skills for success in school and life. Besides annual field trips, sports days and holiday programmes, children get to participate in a large-scale talent show and competition, Chinese New Year music video production, and an international carnival.

Family-centred Approach
Families will find the whole experience to be student and family-centred. Communication between parents and the school is frequent and consistent through parent-teacher meetings and regular face-to-face updates. Formal performance reports provide a clear picture of student’s achievements and progress. Provision of meals and transportation make a welcomed addition to working parents.
Mastering Life Skills
All elements of the school look to cultivate confident, competent and lifelong learners. Children are encouraged to retain a positive mindset during difficult times, be creative in critical situations, be responsible for life decisions, keep communication open, be proactive in terms of personal growth, have leadership skills for life success and most importantly be able to lead a happy, balanced life.
